It's Homecoming Week and you know what that means?! Lots of fun! Today is Super Hero Day at our school so we planned our therapy accordingly
Below is an easy, fun therapy idea. Even our older students asked to make one.
We didn't plan to all dress like Captain America. Apparently, great minds think alike! |
Instructions for making a Captain America Shield:
Materials Needed:
9" white paper plates
4" blue construction paper circles
white star die cuts
2" x 8" strips of blue construction paper
red markers
glue
Note: Before beginning, write homework on back of shield for students.
Step 1: Using a red marker, draw the border of the outer circle. Allow student to color from the
red line to the edge of the paper plate.
Step 2: Using the red marker, draw the inside circle. Allow student to color in the circle.
Step 3: Glue blue circle in the middle of the red circle.
Step 4: Glue white star on top of the blue circle.
Step 5: Glue the handle on the back of the shield (We reinforced with tape because the kids wanted
to handle them immediately.)
Take a look at our Articulation Story & Activities for /R/: "What is a Superhero" Book available on our TpT Store. This short story can be printed or opened in iBooks or Adobe Reader on your iPad or opened as a PDF on your computer.
